Ferrari 328
Window Switch Reverse Engineering
A factory window switch housing on a Ferrari 328 failed. No replacement exists — Ferrari no longer produces the part and no aftermarket equivalent is available.
The original was 3d scanned, reversed engineered in CAD, and 3d printed in PET-Gf. The result is a dimensionally accurate, factory-fit replacement that installs without modification.
This is what Altrd does — solve problems that don't have an off-the-shelf answer.
Reverse Engineering
From scan to print — rebuilt from the scan data to exact specification. Every mounting point, connector interface, and surface geometry verified against the original before a single layer was printed.
Pet-Gf was the material of choice for this project due to its rigidity, dimensional stability, and resistance to the heat and humidity cycling of an interior environment. This is a permanent replacement, not a temporary fix.
Scan Data
The raw scan mesh — every surface of the original part captured digitally before reverse engineering began. This is the foundation from which everything is built.
